“And so it seems we love each other” (“Мы любим, кажется, друг друга”), Konstantin Fofanov

Fofanov

And so it seems we love each other,
But why, I ask, do sometimes we
From tender words, like fever’s smother,
So filled with shame so ready flee?

So why do ones who know corruption
Inflict such pain with loving darts?
Oh, can it be one love’s eruption
Must happen in two feuding hearts?

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
